Back-to-School Reading
As a teacher, August always feels more like the new year than January to me. So many goodbyes to our K4s going to kindergarten and hellos to our new friends for the next year. Thankfully, there are lots of great books to help us navigate the transitions. Here are a few of our favorites:

The Kissing Hand: Bust out the sharpies to give you and your little matching temporary heart tattoos for the first week of school.
How Do Dinosaurs Go to School: We love this whole series and use it to teach manners!
Pete the Cat Rocking in My School Shoes: Not my favorite Pete the Cat (I Love My White Shoes and 4 Groovy Buttons top my list) but any Pete the Cat is a hit in our classrooms and it is nice to have familiar characters when kids are navigating new environments.
David Goes to School: Need some comedic relief during an emotionally-charged week? You can always count on the No, David books to deliver it!
Lola Goes to School: A sweet book geared toward preschoolers as opposed to kindergarteners that explains many of the activities kids can expect at school.
We hope everyone has a great 2022-2023 school year!
